- Antiseptic: alcohol-based chlorhexidine
- Three consecutive applications – moving in spirals from the center to the periphery
- Allow the disinfectant to dry between each application
Important
Any breaches in the aseptic technique require immediate interruption of the procedure and appropriate corrective measures
